Service Description

When it opened in 1924 at a cost of $3 million, the original Gandy Bridge was USA’s largest over-water span. Bridgewood's timber came from the recreational catwalks added to the Gandy Bridge in the early 1950’s. This timber withstood hot, cold, rough bay weather, bird droppings, fish hooks, scales and guts and the weight of thousands of visitors over the decades. In 2015, as sub-contractors to American Bridge, Sully’s dismantled the catwalks and began production of Bridgewood furniture. This timber is well weathered, tough and a part of Tampa’s history.
